I've just ordered a t610 on Vodafone with Singlepoint to replace my dead p800
Just was wondering do Singlepoint phones have all the nonsensical vodafone branding all over them, or is that just Voda direct?
I hope they dont, if anyone hwo has one could let me know.
Cheers,
Simon

Err. I'd recommend you cancel that order asap! Singlepoint are the cowboy plumbers/electricians of the phone sales industry. Avoid, avoid, avoid singlepoint at ALL costs! It doesn't matter where you buy a Vodaphone T610, it's gonna have customizations on it.

If you specify that you want a

branded phone they will give you a simfree version or if you do not specify they will give you the customised vodafone version.
So ring them and say you WANT the simfree unlocked version.

Been with them for 3 years, havent had any trouble so far.
Was intending to leave for O2 though, but they made me an offer I couldnt refuse!
So do they carry stock of both types then? I might give them a ring now and see what they say.
Anybody get one as an upgrade from them?
Cheers,
Simon

Just rang them, first of all they didnt understand the difference between sim free and vodafone branded, then they said they only had one type in stock.
So looks like I'll be getting a voda branded one then!

I doubt it'll be voda branded, singlepoint try and get you to use their own wap portal, at least they do for me...
i agree they are pretty crap though, doubt I'll use them again, as soon as my 12 months is up I'll get my PAC number and move again

i think it's become inavoidable to have some kind of customisation on it - my orange t610 has the logo on it, and terrible cheese monstar pictures and themes and ringtones from hell. Thank christ it has the proper menu!
It seems that all the networks have customised them....although i don't know about o2.

well t-mobile definately have.
i've got a vodafone one and the icons are terrible.
i was even thinking of buying a data cable which would let me take it all off, all the pics, all the wap links, and all the icons back to original SE ones, but it cost £25. that's half of what i paid for this phone!

The icons are terrible looking, and that big red live button is so so ugly!
Would love to get rid of them all, but I dont want to have to pay for the privilige!
