i had my phone upgraded last week to R3C from R1A, but ever since I have had problems with the bluetooth connection
Examples, PC connection, used to be able to connect to my PC fron anywhere in the house, now am lucky to get a connection with the dongle behind the computer and me sitting in front of it

Jabra BT 200, again could walk about the house talking etc, had a bit of static now and again nothing major, now if the phone more than a foot away there is so much static its hard to hear anyone talking, and it will not connect if its in my pocket or anywhere

BT CAR 100, used to be fine, but now if it drives more than a few feet away the bluetooth connection is lost

Am gonna take it back in to the service centre again, bit of a PITA coz its miles away (at least its authorised tho) they said they will take a look

Anyway just wondered if anyone else had experienced these problems or if it was just me, coz I seem to remember the T68-T68i upgrade could have the same problems if it was flashed with a dodgy dongle (correct me if I am wrong)

Discuss

I had problems with the old firmware and the new firmware where the bluetooth is concerned. I use the T610 with a HBH60 bluetooth headset and the majority of the time it's fine. Sometimes the headset wont pick the call up though. Very annoying to say the least. I think it's a problem with the handset as the headset used to work fine with my old T68i.

bring your CAR-100 with you to test when you get the phone checked out.

try talking to the engineer, if you can get to them.

yeah, i'll have the jabra as well, i've got visions of them saying buy a hbh 60/65 for 120 quid, instead of that 50 quid piece of shit lol, (which is what the sales person in the CPW said when I actually bought it )

small update:
Been to the service centre, and as predicted he blamed it on not being a SE model, to which I laughed, anywho as it happens there was a bloke there who just happened to have a HBH-60, nice so he offered it up to test the bluetooth on the phone and guess what, to the dismay of the assistant had the same problems
And while we were testing/pairing the headset I told em bout the car as well, whipped it outta my pocket charged it for a bit and let em play with it lol, this got them on my side, and just to be nice I left it with them till I go pick it up later.
Hopefully they will sort my phone out and not spend all day playing/breaking my car
Oh yeah I asked about flashing with a non branded firmware while I was there (this is an official SE service centre), and according to him he said they can't do it, so I guess I'm stuck with dam T-mobile shortcuts, even the proper vodafone one would be better if I have to have branding, but so goes life
Nother update to follow later when I pick the phone up

Well according to the service centre, they cannot fix my problem and the handset has been sent to SE for repairs
There is a 2 week turnaround, so no T610 for the next fortnight :(:(:(
Ah well back to my trusty, bluetoothless, coffee stained screen, T300 for a couple of weeks

My T610 and HBH-60 were having problems as well, so I had it flashed to R3C (form R1A)

since then, my T610 won't find or connect to any BT device (actually, problems started while syncing with float and suddenly the BT connection was dropped).

Went to service centre, they tested, did firmware as well and concluded dead BT module on phone

So mine will be picked up by T-Mobile and traded for another T610

till then, no BT. very annoying, especially missing the headset, since I'm on the road al lot and often in different cars
