I have the same question but I fear the answer is "no" - I also can't switch it on when composing a SMS with the flip closed.

or.... if you in uk and on o2, type *0# before the text, or on orange, type RCT before the text. on that note, does anyone know how to send faxes via text using these "prefix codes"?

MaThIbUs, yeah thats for the T series but the P series has a completely different menu system. I just checked the P900 manual and its just like the P800... you can only set it on a per message basis.
grex, that is a useful prefix for phones that don't support delivery reports but the P900 does

sorry 'but dat. anyways, i did have a voda payg coupla years ago. there was a code you could pt in the first bit of your text, and it would convert it to fax to send a fax machine...and it worked! my snidey mate used it to send prank calls to his ex... she would get the mad fax noise when she answered, and it came from anonymous number.... pretty cool actually. maybe they stopped it or something?
