I use categories to organize my tasks and contact in Outlook. I am considering the P900, but it is a requirement for me that it is possible to sync the information so the categories are preserved on the phone. I have not been able to confirm whether this is the case, only that there are where problems with contact categories in P800.

Can someone help?

I am willing to buy third party sync software if that is necessary.

Thanks a bunch
Fred

No changes in the P900 unfortunately. One would have to manually go through each contact and make provisions there. I have about 225 contacts I transferred from Outlook and I had to rummage through every single one of them just as I had to for the P800.

Hmm that is annoying. What about tasks, can they be categorized in the phone? (and if so, does sync'ing work?)

Cheers,
Fred

You can organize your task as you wish once its in the phone. I do believe that after sync back to the pc Outlook does keep the categorization created from the unit.

Tried with my P900 now. It is no problem to synchronize tasks and keep the categories there, both to the phone, and to Outlook. This is also possible in the P800.
