Hello to all that read this...
I have just discovered this website and have read far too many positive statements about this crap fone (which unfortunately i own). FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE THINKING OF GETTING THE "FONY" ERICCSON T610 - PLS READ-
The camera is utterly useless- if ur thinkin about using it to capture those "wish i had a camera" moments, forget it. The only pics that are legible (even after download to ur PC) are those that have ample lighting in the picture. And by ample i mean FBI Floodlights!
The total memory is - how shall i put it... a joke, when compared to the other fones on the market.
If u live in a sunny country you will often find yourself retracting into a pitch-black cave just to read a text message on its POOR display.
U can't turn off incremental ringer!!!! HOW THIS F***S ME OFF!!! (BTW if any1 from SonyEricsson is reading this- STOP TRYING TO MOTHER YOUR CUSTOMERS- i know what would damage my ears and if the 800watt speakers in my local night club don't, why would ur poxy fone ringer??) Belive me when i say this... if you want a fone you can hear ring when some1 is calling, DO NOT BUY THIS FONE.
U cannot disable WAP- i have spoken to customer services with both my provider and Sony and they cant stop it. this means each time u accidentally push up on the joystick (whilst the fones in ur pocket and ur sippin' a cold Guiness) you're browsing wap.ultraHIwapRates.com unknown to you and being charged for it. (any smart arses wanna tell me to put K/lock on- i have, but sometimes these things dont go to plan).
The Operating system does soooo many unnecassary (xcuse ma spelling) things and u sometimes find yourself going thru countless pages just to get somewhere that should be accessible. There isn't even a function to clear ALL pictures at one time (or txt msgs i think).
I could go on... but i won't. I hate this fone sooo much i think i have developed cancer from my dismay. So just to end.. if any1 wants to swap for my fone- i will happily smash it, get a new one on the insurance and exchange with you for a decent panasonic flip. Let me know by email pls.. or if u have any tips that would ease my suffering- PLS DO NOT HOLD BACK.
Cyon

I dont get the problem, why not just buy another brand? I mean I for example dont like BMW cars, thats why I bought a Alfa Romeo. Get my point? We are all different.

Cyon,
call t-mobile customer service and pray you get someone with an ounce of intelligence....then kindly ask them to turn off your ability to connect to wap/GPRS on your account.
your phone will still have the stored front page data but wont charge you for using it which by the way shouldnt be happening at the moment as your not downloading or browsing anything but the front page.
sounds like your more frustrated with the T-Mobile personalised T610, i'm with the same network but mine is not labelled or configured with their wap settings....makes a big difference.

...AND this happens to be a SonyEricsson fan forum, so I assume you knew that what you say isn't going to be to most peoples' liking. I respect your opinion, but i have to say that i totally disagree with what you have said. It is MY belief that the T610 is the ultimate all-round phone (P900 coming close, but being too big for 'all-round'). It was the logical step for those who had the t68, since it had everything the t68 owners had wished for.
about the screen, the T630 and Z600 have improved screens thus better 'sun-viewing' capabilities.
just my 2 cents

all i can say to all that, is ......... bollox
i think the camera is brill, memory is fine.
it has keylock to u dont push the joystick up and go in2 wap by mistake. whats the diff between that and dialing a number in ur pocket on another phone.... USE KEYLOCK!
only thing i can slightly agree with is its sometimes hard 2 c the display in bright light.

Speaking about the screen, I don't understand what people are fussing about. I have no problems seeing the screen even in direct (very bright) sunlight (remember last summer, that's when I bought it). Alright it's dimmer than a monochrome screen that's a fact. But if you look at the screen directly in the sunlight, and are not trying to look at it in angles or to shield of the sun, the screen is very easily legible.
My 2 cents,
Dietbrand

i dun seem to haf any complaints with mine....wat's the problem all about

......i'll bet all the highlighted issues were brought up for discussion at the start, right before the handset was launched......after all most of the reviews done on the handset (which i might add is really comprehensive) has talked bout the issues at length.....in the end it's actually "caveat emptor", specially so when all pertinent and available info about the phone (both pros and cons) has been widely circulated and distributed......its all up to the buyer in the end.....and the buyer alone decides to either get one or not!!! simple really....
