I read at my-symbian that good old nail polish remover is successful at getting the Orange branding off the p900

Has anyone tried it? can someone try it - i would but my P900 isnt here till at least thursday

I tried it on my P800 and all it did was make the logo fade a bit, and also sucessfully remove all of the paint surrounding it, so now it's a big orange logo, surrounded by a big dark blue plastic ring, surrounded by the normal blue.

Not recommended!

I scratched mine off with my fingernail, but i got a t610 so i suppose it makes it easier with it being alliminium. It came off quite easily tho so your better trying that way than to risk discolouring your case with somr sort of chemical

How can nail varnish remover not be for ladies?

Anyway, scratching is not an option on the P800.
T610 is so easy a monkey could do it!

Dunno whether scratching would work on the P900 tho

What about using a proton burst to disript the nucleus of the ornage logo atoms, thus causing the logo to dissapear?

People, If really want that Logo gone for good, best use a Thermic lance, these can be hired from some diy stores for about £500 a day, you will need "Consruction & use" paperwork & a licencee to use one, also i recommend insurance & at least three men on site.

I have removed the Orange logo from every Orange phone I've ever had (7 and counting now).

You need:

Nail polish remover
Loads of cotton buds
About 10 mins

I fill the lid of the nail polish remover up with the remover and then dip the cotton buds in that and rub on the logo. Nothing apperas to happen for the first few mins but then gradually it starts to smudge. You have to press really hard (I always thought I was going to scratch the case on the first few I did) and then you will see patches where the paint comes off completely. Keep going and in the end you will be rewarded. It doesn't leave a single trace that the logo was ever there. Now just get your phone unlocked and you have a Unlocked & Unbranded P800 that you can easily sell when you want a P900

Hope this helps.

@kearnage,. that is the best way to gt the printed logo's off, but unfortunately when it comes to the P900 Orange have had the Orange startup screen put into the memory, unlike P800 where you could change them using filemanager the P900 seems to be stuck with them for good. lets hope someone figures a way, i keep checking for updates at My-symbian forum, but no luck yet.

I hate the way Orange do all they can to plaster their branding on everything. You pay them enough for the phone and each month on your contract and still they are not satisfied.
