> Biggest flaw of P900 (It is confirmed)
Bookmark topic
I've found the biggest flaw in P900 bluetooth. It only has feature of On and Undiscoverable. Unlike P800 which has features such as On, Off, Auto, Discoverable, also on receiving items as Always receive, Ask First, and Never receive. It means, anyone can bluejack P900s easily because they have ALWAYS receive mode everytime they turn bluetooth on. Practically you can send everything over P900.
(To P900 owners, correct me if I am wrong)

I would disagree with that... I recently was walking in a mall with my P900 and my G/F had her P800 with her. She tried to beam a file to to me via BT (standing 3 feet apart) and all the sudden 3 other devices popped up on her device match screen.. When she asked whether I saw her file transmission request my P900 prompted me to enter a passkey first. Once I punched it in I was able to accept the file. When I tried to pair to her device in the same setting several other devices popped up on my screen as well. So I think all incoming file transmitions prompts the P900 to request that the user punch in a passkey to accept the incoming files. I think this is only true if the devices have never been paired before. In that case it is unlikely that foreign BT enabled devices around the P900 that have never been paired to it could simply transfer files into the unit with this request being met by the P900 user first.

I used Sman1.2 to bluejack two P900 owners succesfully, both of them were friends. But it still need some proves of it because both I have them paired with my P800. Perhaps, once you paired your bluetooth, it will always receive. Although you don't mark "allowed to connect without confirmation"..

There's always the option of not checking that "make visible to other devices" box. It's a cloke function that's not available on the P800. So that's an added advantage for the P900 I guess. In that case it would be impossible for other devices to even detect your P900. With that said I don't think many should be concern about security unless one openly grants others access to their unit.

I've mentioned earlier about Bluetooth feature in P900 has two option only, On/Off and Discoverable/Undiscoverable (it's the same as "make visible to other devices"). My test was when P900 in "On" and undiscoverable (or not mark "make visible to other devices"). I still could find P900 within reach in Sman 1.2b. Now I am sending MP4 to my friend P900 without his notice (his P900 is in pocket) it will take awhile 'till he got a surprise MP4.
I am having fun beaming at his P900 now.
Could it be a large trout slap to P900 owner ??

Yes, It is confirmed that P900 has the biggest flaw. They are bluejacked easily without pairing. If you set P900 bluetooth on and set on visible to other devices (this option make your P900 can work with Bluetooth headset properly ie : for making voice dial etc), It can be bluejacked using Sman 1.2b.
It's the same as Nokia phone. Without any protection.

Is that a bad thing? Isn't being bluejacked fun?
