> HELP! Phone not starting!
Bookmark topic
Hi there, I have a P800 and I am having a problem. The problem is that the phone will not start up.
I turned the phone off one day (with an almost full battery) and now it jsut wont stert up. When i press the pwer key nothing happens. None of the 2 lights at the top of the phone light up. When I plug in the charger nothing happens either.
Any ideas?
Cheers
Peter

sounds as it needs an firmware upgrade... remove the battery for awhile, then connect the battery and the charger and leave it (with the charger connected) for one hour... the try to power it on... if it still doesn't power on, take it to a servicepoint

...Or you can try this trick.
Spin around in a circle as fast as you can while flapping your arms like a bird.
Then point at the P800, click your heels 3 times and shout at the top of your lungs "Boot up now, or I'm chucking you out and getting a P900".
Amazing results are bound to follow.

Well neither worked so i guess either the phone or battery has gone to the big p800 sanctuary in the sky!

Its always sad when a phone dies, but try and not be too upset, your P800 has gone to a better place. Its better that its out of its sufferring. In fact I am starting a programme of phone euthanasia to help phones who are sufferring with no hope of cure. Its not evil, its the right thing to do.
Just the other day I saw a chap using an old Sony phone that ha dbene taped up to hold it together. He made me sick, forcing that poor old phone to carry on when it had quite obviously lost the will and capacity to live.
One quick blow with a hammer an dit can all be over, the phone would have been out of its misery. A little cloth over the screen make ssure that it doesn't see the blow coming so to keep it calm at the end. Pleas ehelp a phone in need people, they deserve to die with dignity.

@pdoherty, Dont panic, all early firmware P800's do that when the internal drive gets full, its not the battery, your service centre will be well aware of this problem & give you a free new firmware (should only take 1 hour) that new firmware does not suffer the same problem.
