Hi all,
My mum's T28s is about to retire. Well - actually I am deciding whether that would be a wise move or not. I guess it just needs is a new battery - but it could be a pathetic attempt of justifying for a new phone!
She wants something simple - and the most important issue is the display. My mum doesn't have the best eyesight and she found that the big digits on the display a blessing. Other than that she is not really interested in any other function (she freaks out when she gets an SMS). She also wants it lightweight, look pretty and affordable. (That's chinese mothers for you).
Now I'm thinking that sticking with the T28 is the better answer - but i am concerned with the whole radiation thing - and the battery life is substandard by todays standards.
Any other suggestions? /me thinking possibly the T100 (or the T105?).

Bloody hell that was fast!!!
Yeah i was thinking that - but how is the screen/text size?
The other alternative is look for a T39 on ebay - maybe i can teach her how to bluejack. Hehehe.

how about a Z200? your mum will love it, its nice, good cool screen not that hard to use, still the good old ericsson yes and no keys.
or if you want a T100 better wait for the T105. the buttons are better and the phone is faster

I'm not 100% sure about this, but I don't think you can change the text size on the T100.
If you need a good display with large text I would recommend the T68i with the text settings set to large. Then you get really large and easy to read text. Besides the T68i is very cheap and has a very easy to use user interface. Also the T68i looks good is quite small and has great battery performance especially when you don'y use any of the more advanced features.
Alternatively you could get a T300/T310. My mother has a T300 and she likes it a lot. She thinks that it's very easy to use, and really likes the menu system.
