At least in Stock Price. Ericsson stock price is inching closer to the Nokia price. Nokia may be the no.1 handset seller, but SE stock price is making a go at it

If you read my post, in its entirety, you would have seen that i qualified my statement. Nevertheless, SE has made some significant strides with its stock. Over the past three to four months it has been up over 100% from is ailing price of late. Nokia on the other hand is stagnant, but you are right Nokia has major market share, their future products look good, lets just hope SE can keep up

the stock market is indicated investor look positively on ERICSSON not SE. SE is privately owned, investor in general not giving positive view on E/// as well.

It is understandable Nokia price is not moving up because since Q2, they only gain market share but not profit. They have strong sales on low end to mid end phone but they are facing all sorts of challenge on their highend model.

take hong kong for example, T610 have been the no1 selling phone there for the last three month. Only this month N-gage manage to overtake it but tht is excluding grey market sales, I am visiting hong kong and all I see is T610 when you talk about small size candy bar camera phone.

Must be specify because the most common camera phone is those from Samsung, Sharp and LG

true!! true!!!

indeed has lots more to do if they are serious about coveting the no.1 spot.....and i mean in terms of sales and not share price.......which is never indicative of the market position of a coy....

Think is realistic enough to know they will not gain the larger chunk of the market anytime soon. Infact, I just read an article a few days ago, where it was announced they will focus on strengthening thier position in the high end markert and PDA market, and not focus on low end for the near future.

This means Nokia will have major vlume on low and middle end (as always)

Downside is may be up in the pricing level
But then again, that's what they are good at, higher end phones. They must exploit that.

But I guess time will tell.

its still gonna be kinda hard for to up the prices too much.....just too many competitor products like the treo 600 and xda2 that'll keep puttin pressure on prices....like it or not, stuff like these (of which i'm a junkie!!! ) is quite price sensitive......and if u ask me, the more competitors the better.....us consumers will benefit in the end.......
