> P800 Fails To Boot!
Bookmark topic
My P800 is not booting! It plays the fancy video at the start but where I'd normally hear the "bip bip" as the phone fires up it just stays there saying "SonyEricsson P800".
Don't know if this is related, but it happened after I filled the thing up with pictures last weekend. I thought I'd download them to the PC, but when BT was playing up I thought I'd reboot. Gah! Big mistake!
Tried removing Duo & SIM.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance...

This happened to me last week. Its due to filling the phone's memory up! I had a heart attack when I couldn't start the phone up. Then I had another one when it finally booted up, then said:
File error, reformatting internal memory! (or something like that)
Lost all the internal things, texts, phone numbers, pictures etc.
At least my phone works now, and the only thing that I lost was the texts, as my backup on the PC had most things.

Somebody here in Esato did mention that on earlier versions of the P800s firmware, this might happen if the memory gets filled-up. I suggest an upgrade to the latest firmware if you still don't have it in your phone.

Aargh! That's bloody awful! Unbelievable!
(sigh)
OK, so how do I nuke the internal memory?
I've rebooted dozens of times, but it hasn't asked to reformat...

@jezchown, You need to take it in to a service center, they will put the latest firmware on it, that will solve your problem, you CAN'T do it yourself, the latest firmware does not suffer this problem.
