Hi there,
I installed the PC suite for P900, but unable to connect to my p900 through the cradle. It keeps saying not connected. but when I checked the phone connection link, it states that the USB is connected in com 4. I can't access to my p900 @ all. Can someone help me with this? thanks

there a number of things you need to check:

1. Using the Phone Monitor app on you PC Control Panel ensure your Com 4 is Enabled

2. On you P900, in Cable in the Control Panel/Connections, ensure PC is selected and not Modem

Try these and see what happens. Hopefully others will spot other things you could check.

Hi Jah,
Thanks for your help. I just checked, com 4 was enable in phone monitor (PC), & PC was selected instead of modem in P900, but I still couldn't connect. Please help. Thanks

we need to try some basic stuff first I think.

1. Disconnect the Syns Station and re-boot.
2. Wait till XP/Win2K etc has loaded fully
3. Attach Sync Station to another USB port to the one previously used, but without the phone in the station (may have to wait until the USB driver is installed)
4. See if you get a PC Link indicator (the PC Link icon should animate a link). If not, add the phone and see what happens.

Try these and report back. Good luck.

Edit: when you said that the PC Link had Com 4 enabled, I assume you established this with the Properties menu option for PC LInk and the check box for Com 4 was checked.

Hi Jah,
Thanks so much for your help. I just found the cause of the problem. It was the Zone Alarm, it took over my PC. Once you installed it, you have to use it. If you disable it and then install other stuffs (PC suite P900, or browser) that involve network or local access etc... you won't be able to use the stuffs that u installed. What I did was, I enable the zone alarms and then it will ask a whole buch of questions about allowing the P900 to acess network...local network etc... then after that everything works smoothly. It seems like when I disable Zone Alarm, it got mad & decided to lock all the ports Thanks again

I had the same problem and it drove me nuts. Finally, figured out, as earlier posters, that my Norton Firewall had blocked the connection.

Now it works super duper great!
