Oh yeah, I wanna ask you guys something. Since I haven't presonally played with P900 myself, but as a current P800 owner, I am experiencing problems with the bluetooth. The bluetooth connection is not very reliable on P800, and sometimes, it doesn't even respond to the headset or the computer unless I do reset (press power button for 10 seconds.) Are you guys experiencing this problem with P900? It seems like a software issue. Frankly, I am quite unhappy with the quality of the softwares that Sony Ericsson put into their products. For example, PC Suite (Synchronization software) requires running 8 processes if I counted correctly (check your task manager) compare to other PDAs, which requires no more than 1, or 2. Oh yeah, I got a question for P900 owners, did they fix that "Calender bug"? Where when you try to adjust the date in the month calender view, the day of the week is off by one day? Any input from you guys would be helpful!

@mikaljan
Are you using the latest firmware?
Re: BT
I've had very few problems with P900 BT with headsets (I use two different ones). I had a problem with a Belkin dongle, but eveything seems to be stable noiw. BT problems are not always SE's faults, as the fault could be with the other BT device.

Jah:
The thing is, I'm also using Sony Ericsson Bluetooth headset (HBH-35)
So, still Sony Ericsson's fault!

Wow - not dicoverable (even after selecting dicoverable in the BT settings). All I can suggest is that you contact SE.

Hello,
A week ago I replaced my T68(i) with a P900 . In comparison
the P900 is a dream to work with - a crown jewel in many
respects - but there are several issues that annoy me.
The most annoying thing is the connection of the P900
to computers. While I do almost all of my work on a professional UNIX workstation (HP PA-RISC) and have
no software for the P900 on it, I do have a Toshiba Satellite
Laptop (running WIndows 98 2nd edition + all updates
for playing around, and SuSE Linux for serious work)
and, at home, a Compaq (Windows XP Professional).
On both WIndows machines I can connect the P900
via the USB link and do backups etc. However, there
is no way I can get it to act as a GPRS modem. And
I havd had no luck whatsoever to connect the P900 to
the Laptop via Bluetooth (no bluetooth on the Compaq).
With the T68(i) it was a matter of seconds to connect the
phone to the Laptop via Bluetooth and then onto the
Internet with GPRS. when I am "on the road" In fact, this
is the typical way I use mobile phones; I almost never use them for voice communication.
I was hoping to do the same thing using the faster and more
convenient P900, but no way I can get it to work. Even
after about 60 hours of hard work I have not been able to
connect my P900 via Bluetooth to my Laptop or to transform
my functioning USB link into a GPRS modem line. The manual says it should be doable but is very unclear and has
conflicting information.
If anybody has been able to achieve any or all of the things
I am trying to achieve, please reply to this forum and also
via e-mail to me (bt@irfu.se for my UNIX box or
btmobile@irfu.se for Wireless e-mail via my UNIX box to
my P900).
Thanks in advance,
Bo
PS. More annoying things on the P900 compared to T68:
No profiles/automatic profile switching
Cannot use the alarm when the P900 is switched off.
Also, I understand that the T68 successor, the T610,
supports SMTP, but the P900 does not. POP3 is not
quite what you expect in the professional world...

I took mine to SE service centre to see if new FW would cure the phone-not-discoverable problem - it didn't, and I have now sent it back for a replacement.

I think this is a bug as i can do this in a P800 but not in P900.
When not using the flip, try to switch between the application shortcuts displayed on the top of the screen by moving the jog dial up and down. This does not work in P900. In P900 it always defaults to the last shortcut ( applications ) and never moves sideways from there. While in a P800 this is possible!!!
