A blue/black thin vertical line is appearing on the viewfinder area whenever I'm activating the camera. On taking a picture, the line is present. Same for video clips.
Restarted the phone twice and the line went way. Now about 18-20 hours later its back again.
What could it be ? Any input on this guys ?

I have the same exact issue. I've heard some other people have the same problem with the vertical line through the center(I only have it when the Communicorder is in Video or Message Video mode). Hopefully it can be fixed via firmware updates.

i had the same thing on my p900 when i gave it to SE service center thay sed it was a hardware problem ,so i had it replaced with a new one ,i had the old one for 8hours only so thay didnt hesitate to exchange it....

So its now confirmed that P900 cam has some hardware issues with it and a thin blue/black line comes in the viewfinder intermittently.
Have you guys noticed that this line is always present but the intensity varies depending on phone inclination.
Has anyone seen this disappear after phone has been exchanged with a new one or is this present in all P900s ??

Well for me it's only in video/video message mode that the vertical line appears. In all other modes(picture/message picture/auto/etc...) it disappears...so that's what leads me to believe it's a software issue. Strange.

Haven't seen this on mine yet. I will keep a watch. Well its been just a day since i have bought my P900. My friend ( icecoolsam ) tells me he saw the problem after a day! So i guess too early for me to comment on it yet.

"AC" I dont think its a firmware issue else all P900 should show the same behaviour.
I went to SE service centre today and they said they would replace the phone with a new one..I just hope it doesnt crop up again in the new handset.

yes i also have the same issue. mine first occurred whilst filming a colleague on a fishing trip, a long diagonal line would show on the screen. it seemed to stop about 3/4 of the way down where the water was. very strange. and again yesterday, i was filming my nephew while he was flying his kite in the park and again, the same diagonal line right across the screen how unusual i hope it can be fixed.

I have the exact same problem and i bought my P900 here in India too....but when i take a video or pictures it doesnt show at all....its just there in the viewfinder and that too only at a particular angle....My FW is R3A....cud all of u having the same problem post ur FW here....
I have made another post also regarding problems in audio-video sync....cud u guys also check if ur having this trouble too....u will notice that the lip movements dont match the words being heard....there is a bit of delay.
Please let me know for sure.
