> My P900 on UK Orange: no GPRS meter?
Bookmark topic
Hi all!
I've had my P900 a few days now and love it. But I (and 2 other friends) have noticed that our GPRS signal meters (just above the GSM signal meter) continuously show empty, as if GPRS isn't available.
Surprise, surprise - GPRS works fine!
Anyone else got this problem? Any idea how to fix it?
Thanks!
M

Absoluetly no idea, I'm with Orange too and it displays just fine on my P900. I would call Orange and ask them, it may be a similar situation to the old problem whereby the icon alerting one to a voicemail message wouldn't dissapear after you had saved or deleted the message. Phone Orange, get them to do some work for a change

@DT
My 2 other mates with the same problem also got their P900's from Onestop at the same time as we did.
And let me guess - your phone number starts with 07812 06?

Just a guess, but try going to Control Panel > Connections > Internet Accounts - set preferred to Orange GPRS...
I think I changed this and my indicator is always on now

@ucjtckc
Good idea.
I got mine up by going to control panel > connections > internet accounts > other (tab) and setting 'preferred mode' to 'Automatic'.
Problem solved!
