Data based on Handy Day 4.1 info

When you restart P900 the Free Mem indication is approx. 7.1MB (P800 used to show over 8MB).

As you use applications the free memory obviously goes down but over time you don't seam to get it all back even by closing apps.

With only Handy Day running (and usual stuff you can't close such as Phone, Applications) it gets to a point where free mem only shows about 5.4MB. If I turn off & on again it goes back to avout 7.1MB.

Indication of memory leakage with some of the applications? Worst case is that you can get to a point where starting Opera only leaves you just over 1MB free mem and Opera will then occasionally lock-up.

Phone version R3B004.

Anybody else noticed/confirm this?

Example:
Just started up just about everything I have on the Phone leaving me 2MB free mem then closed everything but only 6.3MB available. Restarted and got 7.1MB back????

Opened & closed everything 5 times and now showing 6.1MB! Where has the 1MB gone??? Over a few days use my free mem has shown as low as 5.4MB with nothing except Handy Day running ???

Same prob here...

Only noticed when i couldnt open Opera, even when i close stuff using Sman i still can get it back to original...

Only when i soft reset does it go back...also there seems to be less memory than the P800 had!!??!

im sure with that it was about 9mb...

Me to.

I reported this before in another thread. Any UIQ experts out there that could shed some light on this? I wonder if the 3/4mb "lost" memory is used only for system apps such as the video/cam. May be this is the solution to stop the P900 from crashing because its memory is full.

Why doesn't the programs close by themeselves when its said to do so within the manual. Is there any way to close them without using the handy day program, some way already built in maybe?

And when does the system tell you that there ain't enough memory left to start a program. Does it calculate it like this maybe: Lets say you got 3,4 mb free internal memory and then you want to start Vrally which take 5,1 mb in running mode. Then is this the case when there is insufficient memory? So to solve this problem and to make as much programs to run in the same time as possible you have to keep your internal memory free with a lot of space. Am I right or lost? =)
