Does anyone know of a good source for polyphonic quality sound effects? The other day I heard a guy's phone sound like a monkey screaming as his ringtone. Any idea where to get stuff like that?

I'm not sure of the model but it was a flip and not something very new or very recent. My T616 has a midi sound of an old style phone ringing. It sounds like a recording. So it is possible to have realistic sound effects with midi.

It is possible.

I have a virtual keyboard on my PC that can use midi sound banks to make various different sounds, gun shots, cows etc.

but you will also need a program that can save as a midi! Let me know if you find one!

the "monkey" sound you heard probably came from Alcatels 735 (or 715, something like that) it is a fairly new phone and it can play wavs and recorded sound bites as tones. but it's a useless phone in general.

As a matter of fact u can find .amr files on the net with animal sounds and all kinds of sounds. I have a few on a storage site over the net but havent got the chance to transfer it over to the phone. Do a search here to find the files. This message was posted from a T610
