> Voice mail on T610

No idea how they've done it, but a friend has managed to set their own number up in place of the Voicemail centre number.
This occurs when they either press and hold 1 or go through the messaging menu. For the life of me I cannot find where this number is set, anyone able to point me in the right direction?

In my T300 its in messages>options>voice mail no. This must be somewhere close to that on a T610.
This message was posted from a T300

Go to 'Messaging' then the 3rd menu that says 'Voice Mail' but you must know your voice mail number...you can inquire it with your Network Operator.

If you look in the manual, you will also see that there is a specific icon to indicate a "you-have-voicemail" SMS.
I've never ever seen this icon for real on my phone
anyone else figured this out?

I believe that whether the voice mail icon works is operator dependent. I've always been on Voda in the UK and it has never worked on any phone I have had. However, I got a Fresh PAYG sim recently, which piggy backs on the T-mobile network, for my old T28, and all of a sudden the voice mail icon works. A friend tells me it works on Orange as well. My T610 is locked to Voda, so can't test the icon on this phone specifically - I guess they reckon its easier to send me a text whenever I get a voice message!

I just figured that the sms icon changed when an SMS regarding voicemail would be received (in my case, the sender would be 1233, so you could connect the number of the sender to the icon)
guess it doesn't work that way
