> P800 Calling card verification code

I need to use a calling card but it doesn't have a verification code. It seems the SE engineers didn't make this an option since entering a code is compulsory. Any ideas on how to work around this?

Not sure what you mean.
The verification panel is there on the P8/P9 to be used if you need it, but if your saying your calling card company DOESN'T use aa verification code (like Telco or 1 tel in UK) then just leave the verification code box on the calling cards set up screen blank, i used calling cards on P800 no probs without a v/cation code.

@DREWMARK, he's asking about the Verification code, not the unlock code you have to enter to get into the calling card menu, its a different thing.

If I leave the Verification code field empty, I get the message "Please enter the verification code" - Can't continue without entering it. In the help, it states you have to enter the code, so I am interested that you don't! What f/w version are you running?

What u do get a normal calling card from the shop, enter the access number like 0800 or 0207 or what ever, then enter the verification number on the card to the phone and save. Anytime u want to make a call it says do u want to use calling card so so so, yes or no, if u say yes it uses calling card, if u say no it dials from phone direct,,. well am on the bus and its not 2 cool, shaking alot...

@Drew
I think you are missing the point here mate. The problem is some calling cards don't require verification numbers, and in the calling cards section of the p800 it ask for one and it won't allow you to leave the coloumn blank. We were asking how to solve this, becasue pachy said he could leave the verification feild blank
