Lower the quality or use another type like Ogg but I think you need the player on the P800 chech at the download page and "Third party apllication" or click here

hi, im new to the forum and i have just joind in.

i do alot of audio convertion from wave/real to mp3 and i was wondering if anyone has an idea how to get best bit rate for a song and also how to set the frequency ? what about variable bit-rate mp3s, would there be any problems playing them in my P900 ?

thanks

i don't think VBR reduces the filesize!
And Mp3pro can only be used with the wright codec!

I would try OGG or just convert your mp3's to a lower bitrate (like 64 or 128 dual-mono)

if you grab the mp3s from a cd, use audiograbber, and grab at a lower quality bit rate (eg 56kbps)

NeNeo : i use dB powerAMP music converter. i can choose an mp3 file and convert it to less bitrate/change frequency/ make it to variable bit rate. it works also for wav files as well.

Is the quality still good though? And how much roughly does it reduce the filesizes?
