> Can I upgrade firmware?

I have a T-Mobile branded T610 (from Spain I think) with R1S. I guess it's unlocked since I use it in Romania.
If I go to a
service center, could they upgrade the firmware to R3C just like they do to a normal unbranded phone?

In general this is not successful but one or two people have mentioned here that they were able to get the upgrade successfully.
All I can suggest is go along and see (and let us know)
