I just installed it, then went to uninstall it and got:
A problem occurred during the uninstallation.
Access denied
Thoughts? Suggestions?
Update: OK. I can delete the app folder using File manager, but it still appears in the uninstall list. Any idea how to remove from there?

try to install at again.
it should let you do this and you can either 'cancel' once you get the choice of card or hone to install it on, or you can let it install and the try and uninstall again.
sounds like a one of glitch that one.

Grrrrr. Nope.
When I try to reinstall, I get the same error (as it presumably tries to uninstall the first copy before installing the new one).

There's a thread withthe SMAN developer at my-symbian.com about this. Try these recommended steps:
delete c:\system\install\sman12.sis
If that doesn't solve it:
1) remove all files from \system\apps\sman, including the sman folder (depending on where you installed it, this may be in C: or D
2) remove smanrecog.mdl from d:\system\recogs
3) remove sman.boot from c:\
4) remove sman12.sis (or whatever the previous SIS is e.g. sman11.sis) from c:\system\install.
5) using irda or bluetooth, send the new sman12.sis file to your phone. DO NOT USE PC SUITE!
6) proceed to install
