Hello,
I have been reading posts here for about a week now since I've finally bought a P900
What I want to know is what are the most popular apps for the P900? I'm confused as to where to get these apps. The only place I have seen is handango.com. Other posts talk about something called tracker? but not sure if thats limited to P800 only.
Also, I have visited my-symbian.com and went to their UIQ download section. Are all those apps compatible with the P900?
This newbie appreciates any help
Thanks

Welcome maj1ck

This is my list of essential apps, other hopefully will expand:

- Tracker from http://www.symbianware.com. This is a launcher. Best for you visit symbianware's site see the sample screens to see this works

- Task Man and File Man, also from symbianware. Task Man allows you to close down apps that you don't need. Most 3rd party apps have the option to "close" the app but not all SE UIQ apps have this option. Apps in the background use your RAM and drain the battery. File Man is a good quality file manager that will allow you access to the system directories.

- Quickoffice. This is a Word and Excel compatiable suite of apps from iGo. See http://www.quickoffice.com These are new apps and not as fully developed as other Pxxx apps but I find them useful

- Handy Safe from http://www.epocware.com this is an app for securely storing password etc

All the apps above work with both Pxxx machines.

Vermania

I have asked that question about the memory as well but no luck so far. I have about 12mb free on the c: drive but only seem to have about 7 mb for RAM

@Vermania, Most of it is demo stuff yea, but the Falk city guide is a treat to play with & VRally demo is still well worth playing.
Mobipocket reader demo is on there for a trial,( i like the "trial stuff" because every p9 i buy gets a fresh trial period )
But the pictures arew shit, the ringtones are shit & the audio files are shit, theres an acrobat reader & some more viewers also.
I just emailed VRally sis file to a P800 owner to see what happens....??

Thanks for the help so far!
As per my question about my-symbian, any way to tell which apps are compatible with the p900? There are some appls listed under the UIQ section on my-symbian that do not specify so.
Thanks again and hopefully other new users to the P900 and symbian in general gain some aid from this as well
