Hi,

I need a pda, but i don't know what's better for me. I have a t68i now.

I want to use the pda to surf the web, keep my contacts and agenda, and read e-books.

What is better?

If I buy the tungsten t3 i'll safe some money so i can buy a t610 when it's price goes down.

You'll definitely save some money on a Tungsten and T68i combo, but are you willing to lug around two devices in your pockets.

I don't like pocket pc, because the are so large and a friend has one and i've noticed they aren't very stable.
Have no experience with Palm though.
Now it's winter i don't mind walking around with two devices in my pocket, but in the summer when i don't wear a jack, i don't know.

Have you considered the treo 600, it seems to have had quite a good reception on quite a few websites...

Its based on Palm, and has a little keyboard/thumboard stuck underneath the screen... all in all, it is quite compact... although the supposedly low quality screen may be a concern...

The XDA2, as mentioned hundreds of times on here, although running PocketPC which you say you dislike, is relatively small considering what it does also, and appears to have won over the loyalty of some potential P900 users too, so it can't be that bad really...

After using the Treo600 for a while, I have decided that I do not like it. The keypad is too fiddly, it's quite heavy, and it's fairly complicated to use in comparison to symbian/smartphone/pocketPC phones.

The screen isn't too bad.

Also from what I can tell you can't actually switch it off, but instead put it into standby.

I still much prefer the P800/P900/SPV

I also read that the Treo 600 has a crap screen, which feels very easy to crack...
The review also confirmed that it was surprisingly heavy....
Also no Blue Tooth...

Can you confirm....

Palm has an OEM SD card that you can use on any Palm OS based device with an SD/MMC slot.

The funny thing is that the Treo600 actually has the silkscreening on it's PCB for a bluetooth chip...but they didn't put it in.....clever eh?

I would with ease choose the P900. Iīm not found of Palm at all. Iīve just switched from a Palm M515 to my P800, and I sure like the P800 more. I can do everything I used to do with the palm in one device, Itīs much more easy to do your everyday task with one device, instead of having both a cell and a palm. But thatīs just me. Iīd recomend you to go to a store and see if itīs worth the extra money for the P900. Which OS you like more, and if you are willing to drag around with the PDA + cell every day.

Cheers!
