I have had my t68i for almost 1 year and a half and have come to the conclusion that it is still the best phone on the market even today! Being a Ericsson fan (not SE) I have always had Ericsson phones. I think such wonders of this phone that I do have a p800 but it stays at home most of the time getting dust. Although I think wonders of the t68i it has some pain-in-the-ass problems which maybe somebody could help me with.
1) Since upgrading to the lastest firmware I have noticed that the battery standby is not as long lasting. This could be that my battery is getting tired.
2) Now this is the worst thing about this phone! I live in Portugal some most of the time I type sms it is in Portuguese, but the stupid phone as a great problem, when you type a portuguese caracter (there are several which only exist in Latin based languages) it takes up over half the sms. For example I can be typing away and have 100 caracters left to right and put in a Portuguese caracter and bammm I go straight ot sms2! Real pain int he arse and costly

The phone is also VERY VERY slow... well most of the time, especial when low on memory.
Part from these things I think thios little phone has technology that other makes are just today putting in there phones (technology-useability)

I live in Iceland and we have the same problem with special charachters and SMS. It's actually not the phone's fault, but when you type a special charachter, the encoding changes, from 8 bit to 16 bit encoding, which takes up more space. This happens in Nokias and newer Sony Ericsson's.

You should check out the prices for MMS. Quite possibly a text only MMS is not much more expensive than 2 SMS in your country.

I have my T68 for exact two years. It has 650 hours of talk time on it!!! and about 350K joystick moves. I tryed the T610 but not kidding I prefer the T68, I think it has more character, it is the king.
Although it is two years old, the battery is still very good. I would say now it has around 80% of its original capacity.
Try a Nokia and within a year you need new battery....
