> recording problem with T616

Hi, I recently bought a T616 phone and have run into one problem with them, I don't know if any of you have had this same problem or not: when i try to record a voice memo the voice memo comes out perfectly, but if i try to record a conversation (one of the phone's many wonderful features) the recording comes out garbled- sounding like a tape being played in fast forward or something like that....

I have the same problem. Its really annoying. I don't know if this problem is exclusive to the T616... I am going to follow up with the product specialists...

yeah, johnny, let me know what you find out, i've posted my email address in my profile, so give me a holler if you get the recording problem on your t616 sorted out. Btw, i tried the function on someone's T-mobile T610 and it worked perfectly, so i don't know what's up with cingular and their t616's. talk to me, peace

Hey, so what I did is just take the phone back to cingular. They gave me a new one, and I guess Sony has fixed the problem because the recording function works flawlessly now.

Purchased my phone from cingular 8 months ago and mine has worked fine. My guess is that you recieved a bad phone.
