> P900 Firmware Version Comparision
Bookmark topic
Hi People, I'm starting this thread to discuss and compare P900 firmware versions (Possible bugs, ...etc.,) Please feel free to share your experience.
The only problem I that I've had is with the bluetooth. The bluetooth sometimes stop responding and requires a hard reset to get it back to working order.
Here's some info of my P900:
Made in France
Manufacture date: 3W44 (2003 Week 44)
PDA software version: R1A05
Phone software version: R3A024
Bluetooth version: R5D
CDA version: R1A04
So People, please also list firmware version when you post, thanks for your help!
NOTE: in case you don't know how to check your phone info: Close the keypad. and do the following: [Jogdial UP], [*], [Jogdial DOWN], [Jogdial DOWN], [*], [Jogdial DOWN], [*]

My P900 is Made in France
Date of manufacture: 03w44
Firmware is:
Phone: R3B004
BT: R5D
Organiser: R1C01
CDA: R2B01
Only had one problem with BT but I think that was the Belkin dongle. No re-boot needed etc. Otherwise the P900 has been wonderful

Not sure how one establishes the date of manufacture
Firmware is:
Phone: R3B004
BT: R5D

Same, except for CDA - R3B04 (but that's just operator custom differences) - France, 3w44 (date of manufacture - is on the same IMEI label, under battery).
No problems whatsoever. Thought my BT200 headset wasn't working properly on first pairing, but after restarting the phone all has been well since. My computer, T610 & p800 can all see the p9, and vice versa - both when paired and when unpaired. Had no crashes yet apart from when trying
www.hotmail.com in Opera to see if it now worked. Able to surf using Opera via BT to my ADSL connection fine, battery life is very good - still on first charge cycle, and had it for 3 and a bit days now with the normal playing around you associate with a new phone!
This ex-p800 user is very happy so far - even more so when i received a new highspeed 128mb duo yesterday from amazon at their rather good price - 3 days earlier than i was expecting it!

First you should learn to use the Search facility and read the thread properly. The first post in this thread explains how to obtain the firmware information. The other is from the Applications screen on your Pxxx. Select Edit/System Information
There are lots of threads on how to use BT and share your PCs internet connection using Opera. Here is
one example.
Essentially you need to have PC Suite working. Then you need to install your BT software (as usual follow the instructions in the manual, which usually say install the s/w before plugging the dongle into the USB of your PC) first and use this software to pair with the Pxxx and then connect with a serial connection. Before you start to do this ensure your internet connection has been set-up for sharing. You can do this by simply docking the Pxxx in the Sync Station as per normal and when the connection is made start Opera. You should be able to surf using the PC's internet connection via PC Suite. If this works you should be able to achieve the same with the BT serial link.
I think this is my 500th post - WOW!

For your information I used search before I tried to use BT for connection to my PC and this is how I worked out how use it. Esato is a resource, use it sensibly.

- I've removed the flip on my P900 & the jog down * etc does not seem to work with the virtual flip.
Is there another way to access the P900 phone data?
