I bought the t-mobile version and it doesn't have MMS (error messages). I've read this site and others and I've also asked in some shops and this is what I found out:

1. Flashing removes the t-mobile icons and thus enables MMS.
2. Upgrading the firmware to r3c (mine is r1s) will improve the processing speed, specially for Java apps.

I'd like to ask for your help on where flashing and upgrading services are done. I've asked at ATC, Semicon Megamall, and others and they all say that it's one and the same (upgrading). So I don't know where I can have my phone flashed. Thanks!

Unfortunately, our service centers here in the metro don't have the capability of flashing the memory specifically with t mobile. I already asked smartnet regarding this matter. You might have read the thread regarding this but the company or mobile phone company that does this flashing is not from here.

So has anybody else in the Philippines tried having their phone flashed at any store? Thanks.

@loverlionus-i suggest that you call your network and ask for the manual settings for gprs and mms. you will have to input these settings yourself. gprs and mms settings can not be loaded over-the-air for t-mobile phones. hope this helps.

I tried setting up manually, I used some of the settings in the thread by arnoldc titled "Smart settings..." or something like that. And it worked! I can now send and receive MMS, thanks to you
smandaljr! I guess my next projects would be the activation of the GPRS, WAP, and email features..plus the upgrade to the latest firmware and removal of the tmobile icons.
