> recording on a T616?

I want to record conversations on my T616. I have a BT dongle on my PC, and can connect to the BT audio gateway...I get audio into my recording application, but only from one side of the conversation...I can record my own voice, but not the person on the other end. Also, the audio comes out time-compressed, at about double-speed.
Anyone got any suggestions on how to do this?

That doesn't work, I've tried it. The phone doesn't have enough memory to record a 30-60 minute conversation (I'm a writer and these are interviews). Plus the quality is crap. Plus the format is proprietary...it's a .amr file, and it would need to be converted to .wav or .mp3 before the computer could play it back.
Any other ideas?

A: Well, there's a nice lil proggie here called
MIKSOFT's Mobile AMR Converter. It has a strange "bug" however. When selecting the output file in a conversion, you can't create a new .wav/.amr file, but instead, you need to select an existing file (any extension) so that the data can be converted to amr and vice versa. Don't worry, it doesn't overwrite the file you needed to select, it will only have a strange name like this for e.g.: personal_data.doc.amr (or) .wav
The latter extension name is the real one, so afterwards you can rename it to anything you like.
But remember: .amr isn't a 5.1 speaker system quality. In fact, it hardly reaches 20 kbps quality, so the only sounds that will be comprehensive in the output file are the ones in 1 meters range of the phone. From further off, everything's a bit distorted.

But it still doesn't address the problem. As I said, the phone does not have enough memory, even with pics, themes, etc cleared out, to record phone interviews that frequently range from 30-60 minutes in length.
I need a way to record outside the phone.
Anyone....?

Getting a file over from the phone is easy. Just send it via BT or iR.
On a BT-enabled PC running WinXP, if you create a profile for the phone, it installs a "T616 voice gateway." If you've got a mic and speaks on your PC, the PC can act as a speakerphone.
Problem is, if I record to it, I only get my voice, not the other party's.
As to .amr, the T61x saves anything you record to a .amr file. If you send the file to a PC via BT or iR, that's how it'll appear.

But, not only to I want to be able to record both sides of the conversation on to my laptop (or any digital recorder), I also want to be able to play pieces of the recording back through the cell phone during a seperate conference call.
Anybody know of any solutions? (Recording straight to the phone isn't an option...not enough memory).

2. Using BT dongle with the PC's mic and speakers to make the PC into a speakerphone, then recording it live through the digital recorder's internal mic.
Neither is the ideal solution, since in both cases I then have to bounce the recording from the dig recorder to the PC. I'm still looking for a better way....
