"non-working prototype..."
We'll see when this one's out, there might be an SE P1000 out by then. You never know til it's out for real. And the P900 is already out and this Asus isn't, that's the only facts we have.

But its a Pocket PC phone. I recently got rid of my p800 and bought a pocket pc phone. Never did regret it.
Anyway, SE should follow the footsteps of Samsung...
They should release a Symbian Phone,
a Windows Smartphone,
a Windows Pocket PC Phone,
a Palm OS phone...
This would give people more options. More sales for SE and brand loyalty. A person who had a palm and cellphone combination would like to upgrade to a palm phone. A person who had a Pocket PC and cellphone combinationwould like to upgrade to a Pocket PC phone. They will ignore SE (although we think its the best) becuase its symbian. If only SE produced Pocket PC phones, I wouldn't switch brands.

I agree jomni1!
I really like my P800, but I can't get it to sync contacts without creating multiple copies on my PC! I've tried everything suggested on this forum and have given up.
Now I only sync my calendar.
I love the form factor of my P800, but I'll move to the MDA II when it comes out in the US. My PocketPC active sync software always worked perfectly.

I don't agree... SE should stay away from Microsoft and PocketPC and Smartphone OS's. In fact I hope that the serious mobile players like Nokia, SE, Siemens etc stay as far away as possible from M$ software. The longer M$ is out of the mobile business the better it is. We don't want the M$ mess on mobile phones.. with constant security patches and mobile phones with lousy battery performance together with huge memory and cpu requirements.

It looks like symbian smartphones suffer from the same weakpoints as the old psion's : poor desktop synchronisation.
After moving from Psion 5mx to pocket pc, I hope I will not have to move from my P800 to a Windows smartphone or phone edition.
