Hello Folks!

I have a T68m and thought about sorting out the upgrade to T68i software this week! So, I called my local CarPhone warehouse and was told that the service centre in Sheffield could do that for me now. So T68m --> T68i

I decided to call Sony Ericsson's hand set support and data support and both representatives told me that the T68i is not available in the UK yet and will not be launched until week 20. They said the latest firmware for the T68m is r2b013 and they cannot say for the T68i because it is not available in the uk until 13th. May 2002.

I said that Expansys in Manchester have had, to my knowledge, T68i's and was told these will be imported models.

So, I then telephoned the Car Phone Warehouse service centre in Sheffield and was told that the engineer could upgrade the firmware on my T68m to T68i but, he was not sure if Car Phone Warehouse's head office would allow it because of the fact that the T68i is not available yet in the UK. Also my warranty might be invalidated! I would have to wait til the t68i is released.

I am not so sure if all of what I was told today is true!

I think my brain short ciruited somewhere and I will now re-format it to get rid of this data!

Any comments would be appreciated!

Good Weekend for all!

God Jucame! Is that all you ever do? Everytime somebody broaches a topic that happens to already have been touched upon, there's you saying "We've already discussed this!". Ok, so it may be a bit annoying to go back over old ground, but just chill a bit!

Jucame - I know these things have been discussed before. I was merely pointing out the confusion that can hit the poor user.

Not everyone comes to these groups!

Now, I am interested to set up Windows XP and how it will work with my T68m and I WILL, yes, I WILL search and read beforehand.

Jucame! Sharing today's experience was my aim! Good chilling for you this weekend!
