i'll go for the t100 coz it has lesser cons than the t68i and the t100 is the one i need for my use. most important is it has no software bugs unlike the t68i and has a low quality screen. the images sucks and the t100 screen is better.

Very cool looking phone (Better than that CRAPPY Nokia color one). However, this phone doesn't have GRPS, HSCSD, Bluetooth, or infra-red.

Compared to the T68i, it's as small as the Samsung T100, but it LACKS a WHOLE SLEW of major features. Heh, does it even have Tri-band at least?

The T68 is filled with some great important features such as Bluetooth, IR, HSCSD, GRPS, Color screen, lots of games, TRI-BAND, no external antenna, a cool joystick, police LED lights (Hehe), incredible long lasting battery power, and a lot more that I haven’t named, all in this little tiny phone. Now, as I look at the Nokia or the Samsung, these two phones lack a lot compared to the T68 features, it's size and looks!

So now, will you explain to me how this phone is better than the T68i?

The funny thing is how much value there is when you don't need or use it. My buddy is using the T68m and he doesn't use Bluetooth, GPRS, HSCSD or whatever ... all I see is answering, SMS, chatting and playing Tetris. I have a 2nd hand T68 gold and frankly the 'premium features" have never been touched ... just SMS and making calls, so I think the whole thing about features is a little over-rated ...

the heart of every mobile phone is it's software. now if that heart has a problem then the phone will function poorly. the ir, bluetooth, gprs, mms etc. will be of no relevance. the author favored the t100 more than the t68i. i turned my back on nokia coz of the software bugs. do not want bugs again ever. i only use my phone for making and recieving calls and sometimes texting, that's it. the t100's features suits my needs coz i do not need and do not use ir, gprs etc. no problem about the battery. i always buy a spare when i get a new phone.

unless you use all these wonderfull features

like triband (living in europe, visiting usa),
gprs (already saved me a fortune in comparison with WAP/e-mail over GSM),
bluetooth, MMS (ok, not YET, but it's nice to have a phone that lasts longer)

and for the more basic functions, for example, does it have an sms-counter and a picture phonebook, voicedialling and personalized ringtones?

@dal_l

Ok, so explain to me why you would buy the T68 if you don’t want to use the major features of the phone? I mean, that's fine if you want it for looks (I did too, hehe, but not the only thing I wanted the phone for). However, there are plenty of other good-looking phones to buy to just have SMS and Talk time.

I myself travel a lot across boarders, and I need Tri-band for my cell phone. I use my bluetooth and GPRS for my PDA. I use the IR port for my laptop. Basically, I’m using almost all the features on this phone, other than MMS (Don’t know anyone with MMS to send too, and I don’t think I can in this area).

@Andrew_Love

According to the review, it says it doesn’t have GPRS, only WAP 1.1 GSM. Take a look again, http://www.ocworkbench.com/2002/samsung/t100/colorshoot3.htm

Waste your minutes and pay for the internet at the same time, great deal!

@papajames

Well, go ahead and buy the phone then If you don’t need those features...
As for me, what use is the phone to me if I don’t have bluetooth, IR, Tri-band or GPRS when I use them constantly? Software bugs or not, I find the T68i stable enough (and yet so small) to run all of these things. I have YET to run into any kind of hurtful bugs in my T68i, maybe your phone has been dropped one too many times.

I bought it b'cos of the color screen. Nokia don't have any ... Motorola zilch ... the rest none! Never seen one ... got to have one! The first color screen mobile in the world! I have a M505 and thinking of buying a Palm BT but the price is holding me back ... I don't travel much .. mostly within the region (not much use for triband). Signing up for GPRS? The price is still pretty high and I would prefer to surf and check email at home since I am already paying alot for broadband. yup, bought it for the color screen .... and nothing else.
