> which usb bluetooth adapter

I know this question has probably been answered a hundred times, but the search feature is still not working.
So which one do you recommend. I want the two-way transprot. from my phone to my computer and vice versa. I've come across bluetake and msi adapters, but i don't know which one is the one. Or is there another worth checking out.
I'm using Win XP pro. can i expect any problems with drivers and such.
And i have an SE t610.

yeah alot of people seem to be using the msi brand... i tried to look for it here in the U.S and couldn't find it so i ended up getting the belkin........like i said.....seems to be fine so far.iv'e got my t610 and t68i paired up to it...

sending files pc --> gsm (pictures, themes, midi files)
sending files gsm --> pc
synchronizing with XTNDConnect pc (calendar & contacts)
Do you need any special programs to do all that and are they free?
what does pairing mean? Do you only have to do it the first time or every time you connect.

the belkin adapter i bought came with all the necesserary software. everything is pretty simple to install.follow the instructions and everything is pretty much self explanatory.i'm able to transfer themes,pics,ringtones,etc...
you need to pair up your pc and which ever device(cell phone,pda,etc..) enable to transfer files to one another.your bluetooth devices have to recognize each other..hope this helps....just learned all this myself a week ago...

I use MSI btoes - it's very good, I highly recommend it (they just released updated drivers, by the way).
I also use Trust BT, which is also good (though they are a bit slow releasing updated drivers)
The BlueTooth software stack included with the dongle drivers supports all the neccessary services/features (assuming you've got the latest version). The BlueTooth stack is a standart component which is the same for all manufacturers. Keep in mind that some manufacturers are notoriously slow releasing updated drivers with the new stack. I remember when 1.3.2.7 came out, some manufacturers where more then 8 months behind, and I am pretty sure that even now you can find some that still don't support it.
By the way, all the services you mentioned + more are available without the need for 3rd party software
XTNDConnect is included with the phone and can be downloaded from
It works over a standart BlueTooth service (BT Serial Port)
The only thing you need is Outlook (not express)

My friend has a bafo bt usb adapter and she says no probs with it, cd has all the drivers and misc services,cost is 19$ u s from tigerdirect.com
