can you already add numbers in flip closed mode with the p900? for those of you who own one, please try it..
cuz with the p800, you cant

actually, i got it from the toyota tv ad of the new Toyota Vios, which by the way, is NOT everything.
Tho they got Britney Spears to endorse that car so it is at least worth something

Back to the original question, this is wht i have noticed. If you set the "add to contacts" option ON in the phone preferences in the p900, then when you get a caller who is not in your phone book, it gives u an option to add the caller to the phonebook with the flip closed, when you hang up the call. I dont know if this was possible on the p800 as i never tried it.
But otherwise just putting in an number and trying to save it in the flip closed mode, dont think its possible. Atleast ive tried to go thru all the options and couldnt find it.

That is such a shame if it is true...I feel that SE always miss a few options to make this phone truely great. How about delivery reports, can you set them on all the time or do you have to set them individually for each message...if that is the case can you set them when the flip is closed or only when the flip is opened?

Does'nt look like it gives you the option to set delivery reports in flip closed mode, and they still have to be reset every time in flip open mode.

@KdP8, With flip closed you can type a number, press options button & "copy number", then later when its convenient open the flip, go to "jotter" app, paste the number in that you copied earlier, then simply tap on the number twice to give you 4 options,
1, call
2, send sms
3, send mms
4, add to contacts.

based on the previous posts, its definitely a shame that you still cannot simply add a number with flip closed. tho the add contact option for incoming callers is a step in the right direction...

Yes, you can add a new number to the contacts of the P900 without opening the flip. I just did it! Do as Pachy wrote earlier, but don't open the flip to activate the Jotter app. You can use the Jotter also in the FC mode. Just remember, that you can open menus in the FC mode by pushing the jog dial towards you.
