I have a T610 (Vodafone UK crap all over it!) and want to get my IMAP e-mail working properly. I host the mail server myself, so can use either POP3, IMAP4 and/or SMTP. I can't get the phone to connect to the server though. Just sits there searching for ages! Grrrr. My main question i guess is: Can i use the existing GPRS/Wap settings as provided by Vodafone (UK) Live! or do i need something special to get this thing running? Someone mentioned something ages ago about only being allowed WAP-over-GPRS with the standard GPRS/MMS settings provided as standard, rather than full data-etc-over-GPRS. Is this the case would you think?
Anyone else have any trouble with UK Vodafone GPRS settings and proper e-mail accounts?

if you are connecting using a data account which has APN set to "wap.vodafone.co.uk" then that is probably your problem.
check if you have another data account with APN of "internet" and if not then create one. All you need is the APN and you can take the default values for all other fields. You may need to get Vodafone to activate that for it to work too.
