Triptonic has posted news at http://groups.msn.com/P900 about a bug found in the XDA II with 32 process and why it would kill applications.

I just want to tell all the people that are planning to get it regardless of this news story that I have a PPC and I run at least 15 process. And my Pocket loox get upto a total of 31 about at maximum usage.

And if the XDA starts with 20+ processes open from the start , imagine what problems you will face when you are making a call or recieving a call and you pass the 32 limit. CRASHHHH !!! I havent seen my P900 crash because of a call.

Views Welcome ,so bring it on.

It`s not the device`s problem, it`s Micro$oft`s Windows CE fault.
From CE version 1, you couldn`t run more than 32 apps, and they didn`t fixed even now with version 4....

Micro$oft quality OS

It mght be Microsofts OS but I have a PPC and i dont need that many process's run. The XDA might have really good specs but its all need to run MS CE 4.2 , phon edition, caller ID, camera. I'm taking a guess that it would be a drag on the phone even if it such good specs and the 32 process limitation is the bonus card

MS has alot to go before it can release a phone version that works well. My next News story is abbout the Recall of all Orange / Microsoft smart phone SPV E 200 from england due to many software bugs. I think the same might happen with the XDA II when it is release.

why would any one want to run 12 apps at once any way??? stop nit picking the XDA2 is a great phone its camera is better than p900 it is full screen looks real cool it has a bigger screen and can play mp4s in much better quality than a p900 along with AVIs and MPEGs though its a little big and has battery issues.

stop being so mean and trying to put down the handset you didnt buy it is very good as is the p900.

Your right , but when I turn on the internet on my PDA (this is without including BT and wifi applications which I use).

Soti, MS VIOCE COMMAND , SBR keyboard, Wisbar advanced Pocket Plus,Dashboard, IP Dashboard.Vito Launcher, ICQ , MSN, internet explorer, Multi IE.

Which is 11 and if to turn on a tune to listen to music , """"crash""""". And thats just to get on the Net.

@Ver I sent you something , did you get it?

We seem to be forgetting here that the XDA 2 is still a mobile device... if we want the processing and handling abilities that are mentioned here... perhaps we need a laptop or "dedicated" PDA, instead of a convergence device...?

By the way, just out of interest, how many "procesess" does the P900 allow?...

I've seen the XDA 2 in action running mulitple things, internet, mp3 camera etc. and it had no problems, in fact it was very responsive indeed... how many things can you as a person do at once anyway? The P900 will soon clog up if you run too much, memory handling appears to be a probem with it as I have read somewhere... maybe here!

The truth is, XDA 2 and P900 are both great things (and I still can't make my mind up between them... don't think I ever will), as Vermi said...

What one can do, the other can do better, and vice versa
