Was thinking of buying the t610 on orange soon but have a few questions for you guys:

1. does it still have the orange start-up and shut-down logos?
2. Unlocking is still £20?
3. is the camera worth it?

Thanks

It's the original SonyEricsson startup and shutdown sequences. It does say "Welcome to Orange" for a second after the startup sequence though.

I think it's still £20.

The camera is fun, but not very good. There are no good cameras on phones at the moment, except maybe the Sharp GX20. As I said, it's not great, just fun.

@ghostfreak, They are unlikely to unlock it for you within first year, but lots of other places will, for arond £10.

Is it worth the 164.99 I was going to pay for it?

And another thing...does the Carphone Warehouse upgrade the software in the phone for free if it's still in warranty?

Well i don't know how much you contract is, lots of things can affect the "Valuue" of your deal, if your getting a contract JUST to get tthe handset, its alot om money as i have a BRAND NEW boxed T610 on Orange i only want £175 for.
But i thought they were free on contract now ???

Buy it direct from Orange. It's only £150 on pay and go. I have this phone on contract with Orange and I can't fault it. Like kidscruff says the camera is for fun. If you want a good digital photo then buy a digital camera.

think I should go ahead and upgrade from my t300 to a t610?

What's the menu speed like compared to the t300?

I've never used a T300 so I'm not sure. The T610 menu is quicker than the T68i though. It still gets stuck sometimes for a second or 2 but I can live with that. All in all a great phone I think.
