> P800: AOL.co.uk: Downloading e-mail from
Bookmark topic
AOL is my ISP. I want to get my e-mail (inc attachments) via my P800 when travelling. I am on Vodaphone. Using the 'Internet' ap I get to aol.co.uk and log on. But when I try to get my e-mail I get an error message saying 'Were sorry, but you will need to enable cookies and javascript to use your screen name with this site'.
Is this possible? If so how? Or is AOL inaccessible via a P800?
I'm new so any help welcome.

Have a look at AOL Keyword: Mobile
You can supposedly access your email through WAP in this way, you have sign up and whatever of course, but it looks pretty straight forward... they also offer wallpapers and ringtones... whether the wallpaper works with the P800 though is anyone' guess due to the larger screen... you cn also have news headline beamed to you as well !

sign into your aol account on your pc, go to keyword: mobile, then down the left hand side - select 'aol on your mobile' then select sign up now and follow all the instructions. aol should send a bookmark to your phone that will take you directly to your own 'personal' site, it will tell you that you have mail and that you can access your buddy list etc
it will also give you the option of logging on automatically, with a password or with a 4 digit number!
you shouldn't have any problems as i use my p800 to check my mail daily (but i can't do it with opera, i have to use the in built wap browser on the phone)

Sorry for regurgitating this one, but I still have email problems, in spite of my earlier post...
Whilst I signed up for AOL mobile, I can access my email through WAP GPRS, however, I cannot send nor receive attachments...
Finding this a problem, I signed up for an orange email account... now here comes the question...
Is it possible to use orange email directly from the messages section on the P900... I have the Orange World GPRS WAP thing, though I am able to access "normal" websites without accruing any charge... (since I use either Orange GPRS Wap or Orange GPRS as my account name, seeing little difference between them)
I have tried to have the settings sent to my phone, but they don't really work, saying that I need a username and password, which apparently wasn't sent along with the settings...
I may actually be missing something daft here (like its not possible full stop!), but I really ain't got to grips with this phone email malarky yet...
So a simple guide to getting orange email on my P900 would be greatly appreciated...
Cheers

Yes, it's possible - it's the way I use my Orange.net email, although it did require a call to their customer support, and a further call back from them. Orange have a configurator on their website which will send the settings to your phone.
