just got mine and wonder how come ITS SO DARK.. the text/clock is deep black, and the area around it is black(and a tiny bit gray so i can tell the difference when it is under a lamp)
when i press a button once, it returns to what i think is correct color but that only last for a 1/2second. then its back to wallpapper again

do you mean the screen saver is dark or the screen?
If it's the screen saver. change it.
If it's the screen, go into your service menu to change the light and contrast settings.
If it's still dark after that, run to a repair centre
good luck

Are you referring to the clock screensaver and the fact that it's virtually invisible when the backlight goes off?

edit: ofc the screen saver:P the screen is fine :edit
the whole screen is VERY black..the clock is black and the area around it is black to but tiny bit of gray in it.. so i can only see it under direct sun/lamp light!
when i have the light on i can see it very easy(only the clock numbers are black the rest of the screen is white)
been in to the service menu but chaning contrast doesnt seem to help much even when i get it very bright(it actually got harder to see it then)
" Are you referring to the clock screensaver and the fact that it's virtually invisible when the backlight goes off?"
yes..known problem? got 'R2F002'

I don't think

intended that clock screen saver to be read with the lights off. It is there as a battery saving feature. And that is also why you have to press the +/- on your volume control to temporarily illuminate the screen.
One might say that it is only illuminated for a few milliseconds. Just compare it to a Timex watch. The indiglo lights-up for a fraction of a second for the same reason - save on battery power.

Btw did i downgrade when i changed from my t39? Cant find some menus. 'countinue surfing' where do i find this one? Have to start over again if i go to the menus then back:-( otherwise this phone been great(love how fast the wap and sms is)
edit: on my comp now..much easier to type stuff^^ what i mean to say is: how can i return to the same page without having to click all links again? (before on my t39 could login in to esato>go to a thread> QUIT; and make a sms> RETURN; then i could just go into 'my wap' and click something like "return to previous site" but cant find anything like that on the z600)
only had it 1day.. so cant find anything heh:/
