laffen, is it possible to change the time seen on posts to GMT instead? it helps me compute time differences faster

have seen a few forums with this.. when you are not logged in it's the local time of the server which is displayed... when you have logged in it takes the timezone from your personal preferences and display the time...

The local time of the viewer maybe.. but not the poster.. or do you really mean the poster??

i think it would take some extra server resources to re-compute the time the post was made to the viewer's local time.
with GMT time, we can easily approximate the time difference in our heads
