I have a Nokia 9210 with an external 32mb mmc. The internal - standard pre-installed memory of 4mb is almost half-consumed, has a remaining 2.4mb space. While the external memory has already consumed 16 mb out of the 32 - 50% used. My 'Q' is, how come there are times that I have problems opening up images/photos which has an 80kb or more space?, that is on a 1 image at a time opening. Though my fone does hang very seldom, about 1 for every 50 times of performing such operations. Can anyone advise me on how much memory space I should leave unfilled before the whole system goes ballistic. Say, will a 5mb for the external and 1mb for the internal do, will that be safe enough? Thanks!

4MB internal memory? Nokia.com says

9210

Memory
Application memory: 14 MB
User memory: 2 MB
Execution memory: 8 MB (SD-RAM)

9210i

Memory
Total memory: 40 MB
Application memory: 16 MB
User memory: 16 MB (contains 6 MB preinstalled applications)
Execution memory: 8 MB (SD-RAM)

Anyway. You could always get a bigger MMC card?

I don't know about the figures you posted here Flying Finn, but my fone says what I just posted before you. Does the internal structures of the fones differs, depending on the area/country of destination??? I guess Nokia, makes a standard ruling here. I double checked on the info I posted before, and the internal memory of my 9210 that I made mention was 'also' referring to the "DEVICE MEMORY" w/c is 4mb, and the 16 mb pre-installed external mmc - if you got me wrong on that. External ones are also considered that can be ugraded right? I have a 32mb on my fone right now, and some says it can be expanded to 512 or was it 256 mb ? I just can't wait for my gift coming from Santa. (2 pcs.) of 64 mb original NOKIA mmc, ' hope all goes well. Jingle bells, Jingle bells Jingle all the way - indeed !
