> Bluetooth file transfer to Memory stick?
Bookmark topic
Hi chaps,
Wondering if anyone knows how to transfer files directly to the memory stick using bluetooth? I am using a belkin bluetooth dongle, however I can't seem to find a way of selecting the MS as the destination for the file. I can transfer files directly to the phone's memory where it is store in the "beamed" folder however I've only got about 9MB free on the phone and I want to transfer a 20MB file.
Any help would be appreciated.

Connect using the SE sync software, via BT.
Then double click on the 'My P800' P800 icon on your desktop (the one to explore the P800 folders from your PC).
Copy the file you want to transfer and paste it into the memory stick folder of your choice.
Simple!

Thanks I'll try that, I'm using the software than came with the dongle at the moment which is rather restrictive!
Cheers again!

I think he meant a way to have the file transfer over Bluetooth send the files directly to the MemoryStick instead of having to move them each time you do a file transfer.
Quite an interesting thought...

I thought I'd got a solution to his question, not sure I understand what you're saying...

This sounds interesting
@Ru
Is there a way to transfer (by bluetooth) to the memory stick or actually just specify the destination drive with out using the sync software from SE. For example if I am using my office computer and the sync software is installed on my home computer.

Hello again,
Can anyone tell me how I connect the phone through the P900 PC suite using bluetooth? Sorry, I don't have the manual to hand.
Thanks

@anish - I don't know of one; to send a file via BT software seems to put it on the phone memory, as exc!aim has found.
@exc!aim - run BT software, pair devices, start serial connection to P800 from BT software.
It'll then say connection failed; it hasn't, the P800 has killed the PC-instigated conneciton and set up its own.
Run the SE software and make sure it's set to the same serial port as your BT software (if unsure, ticking all the boxes should find it). Right click the little (broken, if unconnected) arrow icon on the task bar and select 'properties' to get the list of serial ports etc. the SE software is trying to find your P800 on.
