There's just been a short, now blocked, thread on this on the P900.
www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=43977&forum=35

It concludes, unhelpfully, that you can't do it according to the instruction manual.

Which isn't really the point - of course someone can do, it's just whether the amount of hacking into the innards of the phone is too much bother.

Has anyone had a decent try to do this? It'd be very useful.

(I've got a P800 by the way, although the original post referred to a P900.)

@dci

I don't know the solution but just trying a shot in the dark. I have seen Arabic websites with scroll bar on the left since they read from right to left. So may be buying an arab version of the p8/900 and changing the language pack to English may do the trick. First some of the Arab friends here in esato may be able to confirm the position of the scrollbar on their phones.
@All
Please don't flame if what I said is absolute rubbish,

Yes, the pen is easier to use. I'm also left handed and have no problem using the scroll. In the beginning it was a little hard but I soon learned the right "techniuqe".
