Hi there,
Is there a way or software that can be used to make the P900 act as a USB drive so that we can store documents/file in there as a drive without installing or go through the P900 Sync software? It would be very convenience to store all our personal documents in P900 and then can access it from any computer that have a USB hub without installing the Sync software into others PC. Thanks

Keith

I am not sure how it is with P900,but when I connect my FS Pocket Loox to any USB it detects it as USB mobile device from where I can access its memory.(I am useing WinXP Professional SP1).

I am not a PPC user but I understood that the connectivity s/w for PPC devices was built into XP. This explains why you can use the Loox device as a memory unit. I have a Clie Palm, and I know I cant do what you can without installing some additional Sony s/w.

Am I right in saying that this would require installing the SE software on the computer you are copying from?

I was quite impressed by lateral thinking of the poster of the the original question. I'd love to be able to do this and have one less device to carry (the USB flash disk that is).

So, has anybody tried it? Or is it blatantly obvious anyway?

V.

just carry a flash drive with you

A) p900 only offers 128 Capacity

B) it would take forever to transfer this via BT or even the supplied docking cradel.

to either of the abovve you must install SE software which comes with the head set

your only option is to cary around a portable USB Mem Stick reader writer as it will be 300 times faster than the p900 serial transfer of data.

You can transfer the files via BT,IR or the phone's docking station! You don't need a software to transfer via BT or IR!
