My P800 started getting TODs all day today, so I reformatted the Hard Drive, and now, it won't even turn on.... it either shows the opening p800 movie, and freeezes, or just shows a TOD.... WTF am I supposed to do now, I have no phone that isn't covered by warrenty!!??

Sorry to hear about your situation.

If you have a spare battery, you should try that to eliminate faulty battery as a source of your problems (if not, do any of your friends have a P800? try their batteries and see what happens).

You may not have had the latest firmware. SE seem to be flexible about upgrading firmware. Why not call SE support and see if you can persuade them that it is a firmware problem and that they should try to upgrade it. What is your location? Someone at Esato may know how well / badly SE support the P800 in your area.

Hmm...does this mean you've not had your firmware updated? I don't have a P800 now, but I am sure a quick search would reveal the latest firmware version. From a previous post from someone from Canada I concluded that SE have not officially released the P800 there and therfore probably would not support it locally. If the battery is not faulty, and you tried to keep the off button pressed for 10 seconds after switch on with no success, then I think you need to send it back to SE and may have to pay for a repair.

Pay for a repair!? but I'm still under warrenty, plus SE does support the P800, and I'm gonna have to send it in for repairs, will I get a replacement if a software upgrade doesn't slove the problem? Because the phone won't even power up, it just freezes at the P800 logo screen, how can a software update fix that?

Not sure but lots of Esato members have had this problem and the only solution has been a firmware upgrade. Again am I correct in saying that your firmware has not been upgraded?

Here is a thread with lots of information about the different reasons for P800 failures and what you can try. There a number of references to firmware.
