Does anybody know how to make prevent the colours being faded once they appear on the T68?

Everytime I find a cool pic and try to use it as a background for my phone the colors of the picture appear faded on the phone. I use a datacable so size isn't a problem. can anyone explain to me what to do so the picture will look exactely the same as it looks on my computer?

Well u have to know that the files for background pic (for T68) is *.gif files not larger than 8 kb and the dimensions is 101 x 80.

Further more, the graphics resolutions for T68 is 256 colors...so what rez does your PC monitors have? If it's different from the T68 display rez...well...you'll have to live with it.

Bye.

It wont look exactly the same. The T-68 can only show 256 specific colors.

To get the most "correct" picture you can do the following :

Download the program MYPICTURES from http://wap.sonyericssonmobile.com
go to : software..choose T-68.

When you have found/made a picture in e.g. photoshop, then open MyPictures and import the picture.
Then push the button in MyPictures called : COLOR DITHER (the actual T-68 colors).

Another thing to do, is to try some different CONTRASTS on the phone itself.
--------------------------------------
I use Photoshop or photopaint. And actually, I dont use MyPictures

I also give the pictures more "sharpening" effect,..and I make them more "clear and bright" in color, than they actually are.

Try your way around, make some different versions of the same picture.
Make them brighter, sharper, change color/contrast.
And try them out in the phone.

NO sorry
I havent got to the wap-part yet.
Have to find out if my provider supports it, but I hope it will be done soon

And the pictures on my site are to big for wap. So I have to make some "lower kb-versions" of the pictures too.

Did think about uploading some of them to this site too.
