> restore vs sman

This may sound obvious, but if it saves someone else the head-scratching I went through.....
Attempted to do a restore of the phone using a backup previously made using pc suite. Of course, the first thing a restore asks is to switch off the p800 in the cradle and then restart, aimed at killing any processes.
But I forgot that I had sman set up to autostart (a great feature btw) - every time I switched it back on sman kicked in and immediately prevented the restore from continuing. Finally realised this and killed the autostart..... restored perfectly.
Like I say, with hindsight, obvious - but I didn't realise in time to prevent the air turning blue !!
