Does anyone know the mW/sr light output rating of the ir emitter in the px00 and how much current is delivered to it? also, what type and size of driver do i need for those funny shaped screws?

Theres a possibility that it already uses a high output emitter, but supplies it with very low power so as to reduce consumption. If thats the case, then increasing the range would mean increasing the power supplied to the emitter which is a different story altogether.
I cant find specific information on that, but ill check out the possibilities anyway. Im sure SE will have used a bog standard component which can be replaced.

What sort of range are you hoping for? Be careful not to put too much strain on the battery, power is preciousas it is. Good luck!

You need a T8 torx screwdriver, and scotsboy, he said he's not looking to change the current to it, just put in a more powerful bulb. But why would SE supply it it with more power than it needs? so surely replacing it wouldn't make sense? But i don't know too much about IR emitters, so can't say alot!
