Oay, put it simpler, I cant download a big file to my phone as it is out of memory, how do i set the phone up so that i send files directly to the memory stick?
Surely you are able to send a file biger than 5mb to the memory stick?

I am sending the files via bluetooth on a mac.It just wants to send the files to the phone memory all the time rather than the memory stick.

Not sure about Macs, but the PC installs an icon with a picture of the phone on it ("My P800") - click this and you can explore the phone memory and memory stick.
Drag and drop files onto the memory stick.

1) try asking SE for a PC suite for MAC if they have one. I believe they came out with a PC suite for Win98 when a lot of people asked for it.
2) when you use bluetooth or IR to upload files, the phone will first upload it to the INTERNAL memory. when you view the file, that is the time you can choose save it to EXTERNAL memory or the DUO. in other words, i think your internal memory is full so that the memory full pop-up is displayed halfway through your upload. (on a separate note, try not to fill your internal memory to full capacity since this might result in your phone crashing and failing to boot up)
3) try using a windows based OS to make your PC suite work
cheers!

I don't think he have to reformat the memory stick, as some one mentioned above what is happening is the files are saved to the phone memory and not to the memory stick coz that is the default when sending files by bluetooth.
In my opinion either like someone said above transfer files one by one to phone memory and then move it to memory stick
Or try getting the virtual pc for your mac I think that will solve the problem since then you will be able to use the sony softwares.
PS: Personally I hate those macs, lol
