Guys i love this

Beijing Ericsson Putian Mobile Communication, a joint venture between Sweden-based Ericsson and China-based Putian, overtook Nokia for the first time and was listed as Beijing’s largest and China’s fourth-largest overseas-funded enterprise in export revenues in the first half of 2003, said company managing director Robert J Parris.

According to Parris, the Beijing-based company has 1,500 employees and is able to churn out six million handsets a month, or about 142 handsets a minute. Current production involves assembly of the T610, P800, P900, Z600 and Z1010 handsets for Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, which sells handsets under the Sony Ericsson brand. Flextronics International handles the front-end SMT, Parris added.

Parris said the company sources over 90% of its raw materials locally, and about 88% of its handsets are for shipment to Europe and Asia.

The company, 51%-owned by Ericsson and 49%-owned by Putian, expects to generate US$612 million in revenues next year.
